Yes. Paste a YouTube video up to 30 minutes and Minti creates your best Short automatically — no sign-up, no credit card. You can edit it and make up to 2 more. A free account unlocks downloads, scheduling, longer videos and more clips.
Copy the video link, paste it above and click Find Shorts. Minti transcribes the video, finds the strongest self-contained moment, reframes it to vertical 9:16 and adds captions. You land in the editor to fine-tune it.
No. Just paste the YouTube link — Minti fetches the video for you. Nothing to install, it runs in your browser.
Minti transcribes the full video with its own speech model (not YouTube's auto-captions), then scores each passage for a strong hook, clarity and whether it makes sense without the rest of the video. The highest-scoring moment becomes your first Short.
AI-picked clips are usually 25–60 seconds. In the editor, you can lengthen or shorten a clip between 5 and 90 seconds by adding or removing words from the transcript.
Yes. Remove words from the transcript to cut them from the video, fix caption text, change the title, caption style and layout (face-aware vertical or the original 16:9), then regenerate in one click.
Videos where people talk: podcasts, interviews, lessons, talks, sermons, reviews and vlogs. Music videos or footage without speech don't give the AI much to work with.
Use videos you own or have permission to repurpose. Posting clips of other creators' content without permission can lead to copyright claims on your channel.
